About RRAFDC

RRAFDC RRAFDC is a non-government, non-profitable social organization and working for the poorest people in rural community in the field of socio-economic empowerment and sustainable development. It was established in 2000 (2056 B.S.) by a team of like-minded, young and experienced professionals having multidisciplinary background i.e. Forestry, Sociology, Agriculture, Engineering, Economics and Health. It is registered in District Administrative Office Bara/Govt. of Nepal and is affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC), Kathmandu. It is also affiliated with NGO Desk, Civil Society Development Council and NGO Federation. 

Since its establishment, it has been undertaking several programs and projects in the field of livelihood promotion, environment conservation, disaster management, poverty reduction and sustainable socio-economic development through capacity building, skill development, women groups' empowerment and food security. It has been working as a Local Capacity Builder (LCB) and a Lead Organization to capacitate the non-government service providers (NGSPs) of different districts to make them technically capable and sound in agro-forestry, renewable energy and in environmental sanitation. Currently, the organization has been working in Chitwan, Makawanpur, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari and Dhanusha districts with a number of service providers and community organizations by establishing and promoting functional networks and alliances for holistic development. 

Being inspired by the current progress and achievements, it has been extending its services for environment development, livelihood promotion and disaster management collaborating and co-ordinating with private, public, government and non-government sectors on regional and on central level.

Presently, there are 23 personnel in RRAFDC of whom 20 (2 Female, 18 Male) are trained and academically professionals in several disciplines like in forestry, agriculture, social science, management, rural development and health sciences from reputed university and institutions of Nepal and abroad. It invites 3-5 development apprentices every year from a reputed university and government institution of Nepal.
